“Tea” Talk

Hooray – it’s Thursday, I’m already here, and today:

I’m having:~

A glass of icy cold goats’ milk in one of our Egyptian stem glasses, and this is accompanied by a couple of Ferrero chocolates – a Ferrero Rocher and a Ferrero Rondnoir - YUM!

Egyptian Glass of Icy Cold Goats' Milk

My Glass is:~

One that my husband had before we were married, and it is a  24ct gold plated stem glass – these glasses are so delicate and very beautiful.

I’m Feeling:~

Ecstatic that my blog is working once again, and I would like to say a hearty thank you to Susan for explaining to me step by step how to back up my blog and how to schedule it to send the back up files by email each week. It’s not until you can’t access your blog that you realise how much time you actually spend on it, writing those heart-wrenching posts and think how you’d feel if it was gone, all gone! Think about backing up your blog.

On My Mind:~

The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16: 7

How does God see my heart?
Do I live up to His expectations?
Is all that is in my heart God-honouring, or are there areas that I’d rather He didn’t see?
Am I giving Him all of me?

In answer to my rhetorical questions, there are many areas of my life where I could improve. I don’t think that I do live up to God’s expectations, but I do strive to have a personal relationship with Jesus living in my heart. All that is in my heart – that is a big ask, for anyone, for we are told that if we even think something wrong, that we have sinned.

Today has been a very difficult day, as Thursdays in our home are house cleaning day, and with my back being sore, it has made things much harder. Hopefully, when we get help with the housework, things will become easier to deal with. I am trying to rely totally on God, trusting in His promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us, and that He is my helper, and I am also trying to glory in my our tribulations, knowing that the trying of our faith worketh patience.

Every tomorrow has two handles.  We can take hold of it by the handle of anxiety, or by the handle of faith.

What about you? How do you think that God sees you?

Thank you for stopping by to say hello and to share Tea Time with me. Ruth hosts Tea Talk each week – care to join us, pop on over to Celebrate Friendship and join in the fun.

I seen cooking programmes that use goats milk, how different does it taste to cows milk? Can you use it just like cows milk?

I just love that last quote – following the “handle of faith” requires letting go and moving to the back seat and we don’t like doing that at all. Don’t we often think we at are the “better” driver!!

Glad to share Tea Time with you (I have a lovely hot cuppa next to me as we “speak”.

    God Bless
    Jo

My you have a lovely blog. Wishing you a wonderful day!!!

    Hi Jo,
Goats’ milk is not that different to cows milk tastewise, if your goats are on good feed. :) If they get into the clover patch though, it has the most vile, revolting taste! :(

Yes, we use it just like cows’ milk, but it’s much better for us, as we have a household of asthmatics, and the allergy level is much lower. :D

Yes, it is difficult to let go and let God, for we do often think that we (me) are the better drivers. I need to keep reminding myself that God is in control all the time.

Thank you for dropping in to share Tea Time with me. :D

Have a wonderful and blessed week,
    Love, Jillian ♥

That glass is certainly unusual. It just dawned on me that I can not ever remember tasting goats’ milk.
I have thought about backing up my blog or at least posts that I think are worthwhile to keep but I don’t know how to do that. Perhaps I’ll investigate. I have always thought the blog is a good journal for my kids to read in later times.

    Hi Jillian!

It’s good to see you again here at Tea Talk. I love everything you wrote here. I believe God sees me as His beloved daughter, so frail outwardly but the heart is full of passion to see Him glorified in my life.

Your glass is very special. I love goat’s milk. I’ve tasted an ice cream made of goat’s milk and it’s so creamy and tasty.

Now you got me thinking about backing up my blog. How do I do that?

    Ruth

It almost sounds like you are spoiling yourself today!! I’m sure I’d be scared to even have something so delicate in my house!

Sorry your back is bothering you. I hope you find relief soon. Hang on to that awesome faith you have.

    Blessings,
    Tricia

Hey Jillian. Glad the blog is back up & running. Having crashed 2 [no back up] I know exactly how devestating it is to lose all the memories & hard work ~ worse, friends comments! :( Yep, I’m a Dill.

God has gone to great lengths to show me how much He loves me. I really struggle in that area. Childhood issues. He is pleased just with our trying to please Him. The heart attitude is everything, the results a minor concern.

    Hi Ruby,
My husband bought the set of 30 glasses in ’74, and they have survived our shed being blown away – the boxes, too, and all of our house moves! :)

I keep my blog as a journal more than anything else, and for somewhere for me to write all of my thoughts – helps to keep my brain working (ol’ timers or blonde – I haven’t quite decided, yet???). :D

    Have a wonderful week,
    Love and blessings, Jillian ♥

    Hi Ruth,
Thank you for calling in to have “tea” with me. :)

Google is your best friend when it comes to wanting to know how to do anything – just Google “how to back up Blogspot blog”.

We make goats’ milk ice-cream all of the time, as it’s the only one that our children and I can eat without problems.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,
    Love, Jillian ♥

  11. Jillian says:

    Hi Tricia,
We have carted these glasses around since 1990, and they have survived many house moves, but I’m not going to have anything in our home that is just a showpiece – they must be able to be used. :)

Thank you – I’m sure that this is one of those times that God is carrying me. :D

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Love and blessings, Jillian ♥

    Hi Ganeida,
Thank you for dropping in to have “tea” with me. :)

Wow – crashed two blogs – I’m not sure that I would have had the courage to start all over again. That’s why when Susan told me how to back up my blog, I listened. Both of my blogs are on this one, and I would be heartbroken to see three years work gone. :(

I totally agree – the heart attitude is everything. :D

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Love and blessings, Jillian ♥
