If…
If
I happened to show up on your door step
Crying,
Would
You Care?
If
I called you and asked you to pick me up
Because something Happened,
Would
You come?
If
I had one day left, to live my
Life;
Would
You be part of That
Last
Day?
If
I needed a shoulder to cry
On,
Would
You give me Yours?
Do
You know what the relationship is between
Your two eyes? They blink together, they
Move together, they cry together,
They see things together and they
Sleep together,
BUT
THEY NEVER SEE EACH
OTHER…
that’s
What friendship is.
Life
Is lonely
Without FRIENDS.
What does God’s Word say about friendship?
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15: 13-15
Jesus lay down His life for His friends (us) – I wonder how many of us, me included, could say the same thing. How many of our friends would we be willing to lay down our life for? Yet, Jesus sets the precedent, and tells us that we need to love one another as He has loved us, and that we are His friends if we do whatever He commands us to do. His command to us is to
“LOVE ONE ANOTHER”

I am a daughter of the King of Kings, seeking to live a godly life and mirror the love of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

That’s beautiful – yes we all need true friends. I have decided it is hard finding true friends and I once use to search, now I leave it in Gods hands.
In His grace. . .
Ah, greater love has no man than a man lay down his life for his friend!
Hi Jo,
The true friends are the ones who leave ‘Footprints in your heart’!
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter,
Love, Jillian ♥
Hi Ruby,
Yes – Jesus loved us so much that He died for us, so that we might live. What an awesome thought!
Friendship is so important, as iron sharpens iron. I hope that you have a wonderful Easter, my friend, and I am proud to call you my friend.
Love and blessings,
Jillian ♥
All I can say, is that Father must be really trying to reinforce to us, the need to love one another, to lay down our lives for one another, to focus on others, more than ourselves! There seems to be a common thread of friendship, love, unity and ‘looking out for the needs of others’, in many of the blogs I have been reading lately.
We are all of one accord on this, and that is wonderful…
Bless you darling sister.
Hi Amanda,
There certainly does seem to be a commonality this month, I agree.
God certainly reinforces things that need working on, and I’ve found that being a good friend is easier than I thought, as long as I put the needs of others first, always thinking of how I write and how it will affect the person I’m writing to, and learning to explain myself better.
God bless you, too,
Have a wonderful Easter,
Love, Jillian ♥
Yes, that is what He has been working on me too! Exactly those things you mentioned. LOL we have so much in common in so many ways
Hi Amanda,
We have more in common than we thought, it seems. We really are Sisters in Christ – in more ways than one.
Love and God’s blessings to you,
Jillian ♥
