Boiled Chocolate Cake – My Husband’s Specialty

What does my husband do when I am on the internet, and he’s an internet widower?

Why, of course, he makes a Boiled Chocolate Cake, decorates it with whipped cream and covers it with grated Cadbury chocolate. Aren’t we totally spoiled? He’s such a good cook!

Chocolate Cake Recipe

Place into a saucepan, and bring to boil:
1 cup water, 125 grams of butter and 1 cup of sugar.

Let cool, and then add 2 eggs, ½ teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, 2 tablespoons Cadbury cocoa and 1 ½ cups of SR flour. Beat until mixed well. Pour into cake pan – it looks more like a chocolate milkshake at this stage than a cake. Then, bake in moderate oven (180°C) for one hour.

Decorate as desired. This is a deliciously moist Chocolate cake, and won’t last long in this home.

    Hi Ganeida,
My dad used to play with stamps and coins. However, my husband prefers to cook, and you've seen the results.

    It was delicious!

    Hi Jeanne,
Well, you'd think that we would all have a weight problem, too, but we don't, 'cause we don't have them all the time. ;)

    It was soooo delicious!

    Hi Sarah,
I hope that you like the recipe. It is so deliciously moist, and when you put it into the cake pan, it looks more like a milkshake than a chocolate cake.

I thought that I had better let you know, or you might think that you had done something wrong. My hubby did the first time that he made it.

I hope that your hubby loves it.
    Blessings,
    Jillian

I showed this cake to my hubby this morning and he is wanting to give it a try. He loves chocolate and so do the kids of course. I suppose I need to place it on the menu for Christmas dinner perhaps. Thanks for sharing.
