Follow-Up Comments & My WordPress Blog

I ♥ my WordPress blog, although I’m still working some things out, but it’s true what people say – You’ll love WordPress, as there is so much more that you can do, and it’s easier to use than most. To Susan, thank you for introducing me to WordPress – I truly do ♥ working with WordPress!

Ruby commented today that she wasn’t receiving the follow-up comments even though she had ticked the receive follow-up comments box, and I truly do thank her for letting me know. My son has fixed the problem tonight, and hopefully you will all receive the follow-up comments, now.

To those of you who commented and didn’t receive any follow-up comments, I am truly sorry, as I answer every legitimate comment placed onto my blog. I have tried a couple of test comments, and apart from going into my spam folder, it worked fine.

Why Footprints Diary?

Footprints is a very special poem to me, as it is during the most difficult times of my life that I have felt Jesus’ presence the most. He literally picks me up and carries me through the tough times, and it is only through my faith and trust in Him that He carries me and shelters me from life’s storms. He is literally the wind beneath my wings, and I feel honoured that He considers me worthy of carrying me. This version of  Footprints in the Sand, written by Margaret Fishback Powers is my favourite version – there are others, but this one just speaks to my ♥, as the flowing words are very similar to the King James Version of the Bible .

This poem has been especially poignant and relevant just recently, as we have had friends of ours in hospital – Gwenda, our friend from Tumby Bay and my mum. They are both out of hospital, now, and I praise God once more for answered prayer. Things were more than a little hectic there for a while, but our God never lets us down. He is always there for us, as long as we take the time to rely wholly and solely on Him. There were times when I thought that this blog was no more than a pipe dream, especially when I had to edit about 75%  of the posts that we imported, as they weren’t displaying properly, but God promises that He will never give us more than we can handle, and that He will never leave us nor forsake us. It is through these times that He has carried me … once again, and I’m sure that it won’t be the last time!

Our God truly is an awesome God!

New Blog Coming Soon

My son has been working on a new blog for me, as a late birthday present, and the image (above) is just a teaser of better things to come. At the moment, it is being coded, but I absolutely love the theme and the name. My son has done an excellent job of designing this new blog, as I knew what I wanted, but communicating that to my son was so difficult, as he is not a woman, and he likes different design themes than I do.

The name has also changed, but I think that this is a reflection of how much deeper my relationship with God has become, and how much I have matured over the last couple of years.
