All’s Well that Ends Well
Then, when Toll went to pick it up, Michael said that it had already been picked up by Town and Country couriers. Can you imagine our surprise when we went into town (with the trailer, as we had shopping in the boot) to pick it up, and they said that it wasn’t there to be picked up?
When we arrived home, my husband phoned the after hours number for the owner, but to his surprise, One Stop Water Shop had changed owners. Fortunately, he gave us the mobile phone number of the new owner, and we knew him well, as he used to own Homeflair Furnishings, and we had bought furniture from him. My husband phoned him and explained who we were and what had happened, and Michael told us that he would deliver the sand, and that he would be here in about an hour.
That’s definitely service, as we are about 80 kilometres from Port Pirie! Michael arrived at about 9:15 last night with the sand and a smile, so now our swimming pool is being cleaned properly, and hopefully by tomorrow we will be able to go for a swim.
Praise God for people who are willing to “go the extra mile – quite literally” in customer service and satisfaction.
