Therese from Aussie Coffee Shop has given me the honest scrap award, so thank you, Therese from the bottom of my heart. Therese has some wonderful articles on her blog, so pop on over to visit her.
Now, to keep this award, I must complete the following:
1) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award.
2) Share “ten honest things” about myself.
3) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4) Tell those 7 people that they’ve been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving it.
Here are the 10 honest things about me:
- I love my family and our home life, and will work hard to make our home a home that our family will cherish, both now and in years to come.
- I hate dirty dirt, and will go to enormous lengths to avoid it. Our driveway is clean rubble, and we have wood-chipped the front yard – told you I’d go to extraordinary lengths to avoid it. I detest mud!
- I’d love to visit Israel, but that probably won’t happen unless modern technology comes up with a miracle cure for asthma and a lack of spleen.
- I like living where we are, for it is close enough to family, without living in their pockets, so to speak. I love the time spent with my mum, as it is special when they visit.
- My most detested chore is mending – I have a mending pile that is growing bigger by the day. I need to be in the mood, have the sewing machine brought up from the cellar and find the patching material – ho-hum – maybe in the holidays? Can you guess that I’m not really a seamstress, or for that matter a sewer?
- My favourite meal is Beef Stir-Fry, and my husband does an excellent job of cooking it – never overcooked.
- Today it is warm in here, after my husband installed the blinds – broken finger and all, although I suspect that he is suffering for it, now.
- I don’t really like the winter months, although I love the rain. It’s the cold that I really don’t like, especially when it gets down to -8C in winter.
- My favourite movie (at the moment) is Amazing Grace. I especially liked this movie because prior to seeing it, I thought that the only places that Amazing Grace was sung at were funerals. It was lovely to hear it done well, and the reason that it was written.
- My favourite Christian artists are Chris Townend and Planet Shakers.
Boy, that was harder than I thought it would be, and now for the next part. The seven blogs that I would like to pass this award on to are:
- Jennifer at My Chocolate Heart
- Jess at Life and Times of Jess
- Ganeida at Ganeida’s Knots
- Skye at Warm Love
- Homestay Mama from Amazing Journey, Amazing Grace
- Alecat from Serenades and Solace
- and last, but by no means least Tania from Outback
